CAD/CAM Software that you need to see perform on your machines to see the difference.
The latest iteration of CGS North America's Elite CAD/CAM software for Molds & Dies, Cam-Tool version 12, now allows the creation of "Special Tools", which includes the unique bottom and corner rad shape on High Efficiency Roughing tools.
Based on customer requests the 3 "Base Surface" tool paths in 5 Axis are now available to 3 Axis Users.
"Horizontal Area Cutting" Profile, now includes a smooth transition between tool paths, as per customer requests, which is very important when machining "Hard Materials".
Machine Simulation, previously imported from an outsource software company, has been re-created internally. This allows for a better integrated product, more easily monitored and improved upon, plus it will run faster.
The latest iteration of CGS North America's Elite CAD/CAM software, Cam-Tool version 7.1, features fully supported 64-bit capability and is designed to enable efficient, day-to-day handling of larger and more complex model files. Compared to the previous 32-bit version, it will more effectively handle files that include information derived from STL.
An optional profile for Makino users enables on-machine measurement for inspection results before the block is removed from the machine. To maintain a safe and effective holder and shank collision detection system, a “Safety Distance” option has been added to the optimization process.
A continually “spiraling” tool path output can be used on certain types of geometries. Z-level finish now has a “spiral” switch that enables the company to create this output. The company says it will also add this spiral capability to Z-level finishing undercut for five-axis simultaneous users.
